Tim joined Badgley Phelps in 2008 as an investment manager and is our Director of Research. His career in portfolio management and financial services spans 21 years. Tim came to the firm from Threshold Group, where he provided investment management services to private clients. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager at Bank of America in Seattle. Tim’s expertise is focused in security analysis and selection, portfolio construction, asset allocation, alternative investments and risk management.

An avid cyclist and reader, Tim is passionate about education and helping the next generation prepare for what is certain to be a complex world, advising young adults on career and educational paths and serving on a board of a Montessori school. He hopes to travel next to Europe or any place with good skiing, but in the meantime, lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife and daughter.
