Anna Inveen launched her career in financial services at Badgley Phelps, and we couldn’t be happier to have this world-traveling Pilates afficionado on the team. Read on to get acquainted with Anna, hear about what motivates her, and discover which longtime Badgley team member she’s inspired by on a daily basis.

The definition of worldly

Born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Anna spent her first few years of life in the Caribbean as her dad worked as the island’s economist. She carries with her a love of traveling and exploring new places and cultures. A bucket list trip she took recently was to ski the French Alps. Says Anna, “I even lucked out with fresh snow!” She cites the Scandinavian countries among her favorite destinations. “I visited Copenhagen six years ago and it is still one of my favorite cities I’ve ever been to,” she says. “There’s a reason why they are consistently among the happiest countries in the world.”

Working with inspiring individuals

What makes Anna happy to come to work every day is the people she works alongside. Says Anna, “I started at Badgley right out of college, and I couldn’t think of a better group of people to launch me into my career. I am surrounded by intelligent, hardworking people to continuously learn from and motivate me.”

Anna says one person has been particularly supportive. “One of my role models would have to be Badgley’s very own Julie Parisio Roy,” she says. “I was lucky enough to have Julie as my mentor ever since I started interning at the firm when I was in college. I would not be in the position I am today without her support, guidance, and motivation to continue evolving and advancing in my career. Her passion to help and support others, whether it be clients, colleagues, or students like I was, is something I admire and aspire to have.”

The rewarding work of giving clients peace of mind

This former intern is now an associate Wealth Manager and Financial Planner and cites obtaining her Certified Financial Planner™ certification as one of her greatest achievements. She uses that knowledge and experience to support all aspects of client relationships, with a focus on financial planning. Says Anna, “I work with clients to help them achieve financial success and security through retirement, tax, estate, and insurance planning. Being able to give clients peace of mind and security through a plan that is unique to their financial goals is truly rewarding!” She says she’s most motivated by helping others achieve their goals.

Keeping busy off the clock

Even in her downtime, Anna likes to be on the go. She’s had a busy schedule since her first summer job as a lifeguard at fifteen. Today, she starts her days early and spends time going to concerts, traveling, and doing Pilates. She loves the latter so much, she recently became an instructor. Anna does find time to relax with an episode of a favorite show or a walk. She says, “My favorite time of day would be mid-morning on a weekend. I find that time especially relaxing before you have to tend to your obligations of the day.”
