Dear Fellow Women Investors,
It feels appropriate that today, on International Women’s Day, we write specifically to you. We are still early into 2024 and want you to think of all you have accomplished in the last several years. All WE have accomplished over the last several years. Some of those achievements crossing your mind right now might feel as though they are something of the past, but they matter. The school lunches that have been packed, the quiet acknowledgement of an unspoken need, the contingency planning when something goes off the rails. Or you may be thinking of life-changing, grandiose successes and worlds you have built. Businesses created, families changed, promotions earned. Either way, we’ve grown personally and professionally, and have come to appreciate the depth of experience along the journey.
The new year is often a time for reflection, goal-setting, and fresh habits. One theme we are leaning into this year is not “having it all” but identifying what is important to each of us, and then prioritizing and pursuing it. We can’t be all things to all people all the time. But we can decide what matters most in this moment of our lives and put resources behind that. It may mean sacrifices in other areas, asking for help, or outsourcing lower-priority items. And that’s okay!
If one of your priorities this year is getting your financial house in order, we want to help. Even if you’re just looking for a second set of eyes to make sure you’re in good shape, we can do that. Or maybe a deeper understanding of your financial situation would enable you to pursue other goals that you’re passionate about. We’re here for that too. One of our favorite roles is being a partner to help clients make some of their most important financial decisions, because we are literally building the future—your future—one conversation at a time.
Being invited into our clients’ personal financial lives is a great honor. We don’t take that lightly. It is a privilege to support all of our clients, especially the women who are the doers, the enablers, the builders, and the supporters of progress.
This year, we are particularly proud to have announced our first female CEO in Badgley’s history, Julie Parisio Roy, but our organization has been driven by women for decades. Badgley is half women, in all areas and at all levels of the organization. We know you because we are you. We know what it’s like to juggle, balance, and give our best. Our passions are financial planning, investment management, and empowering our clients. If you would like to partner with us this year, please be in touch. We would be honored.
With gratitude,
The Women of Badgley
