This month, meet Financial Planner Megan Posey, a curious; adventurous; dog, cat, and horse mom who loves to golf almost as much as she loves to help Badgley Phelps clients pursue their individual financial goals.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about your position and/or about working at Badgley Phelps?
A: Designing creative solutions to help our clients achieve their goals. No one individual, family, or business’ goals are the same and planning for a variety of situations and unique circumstances keeps every day interesting!
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
A: When I’m outside the office I like to keep busy. I enjoy travel, horseback riding, golf, and spending time with my husband.
Q: Where else besides the Seattle area would you like to live?
A: Two places come to mind. Either on a Hawaiian beach or Virginia’s horse country. Ideally, I could split time between the three!
Q: What motivates you?
A: A mixture of curiosity and appreciation. I love having the opportunity to try or learn something new, and will never stop being inquisitive, which is where I find a lot of my motivation. I strive to appreciate life, those around me and my experiences, good or bad, to use as motivation for the future.
Q: Do you have a pet? If so, what’s its name?
A: I am a huge animal lover and couldn’t live without my pets. Currently, I have two dogs; an Australian Shepherd, Bogey, and an eleven-week old Bernese Mountain Dog, Birdie, that we recently added to the family. I also have a cat, Piper, and while he isn’t mine, I lease a horse, Harley, who I love like one of my own.
Q: What, in your opinion, is the greatest game in history?
A: This may not come as a surprise for a financial planner, but I would have to say Monopoly. It’s timeless and great for all ages. Plus, it teaches valuable lessons about money to kids.
Q: What’s your favorite app?
A: This changes from time to time, but currently it is the Furbo app that allows me to check in on the dogs while I am away and even speak or throw treats to them.
Q: What’s your favorite time of day?
A: Quiet early mornings, around dawn, before the world gets on its feet. I love to drink my coffee and reflect while reading The Daily Stoic.
